Egg Sinkers
Egg Sinkers are shaped exactly like an egg (Obvious name choice) and have a hole drilled through the middle of them. Intended to be used as a sliding weight, the egg sinker if most often used when bottom fishing live bait or even Carolina rigging soft plastics. The weight is slid up the main line and a swivel with barrel or ball bearing is them tied to the end of the line.
This swivel will stop the egg sinker from sliding down to the hook. On the other end of the swivel and leader length of line is tied and a hook is attached to it’s end. The sliding feature of the weight allows fish to take the bait and not feel the weight’s resistance thus allowing for a better hook up ratio. Egg sinkers are available in a myriad of sizes.
