Bullet
Bullet – Just as the name implies, these weights were designed for Texas rigging soft plastics and are bullet shaped with a hole in the center of them in which the line is fed through. The pointed shape of the weights allows them to be worked through all types of cover virtually snag free and really excel when fishing in weeds of any kind. A main stay for any bass angler, bullet weights, also known as worm weights, come in a variety of sizes, painted or un painted and more recently have also become available in Tungsten which is a harder, more dense material that gives anglers better feel and the ability to use a smaller size weight since Tungsten is on average 40% smaller than lead of the same weight. Bullet weights can be sold plain or with a screw lock keeper that holds the weight tight to the bait. If no screw lock is formed into the weight a toothpick can be pushed into the weight’s open ends to snug it on the line, keeping it from free sliding.
